Aerial Reporting
for Inaccessible Areas

At Hit The Mark, we use drone technology to safely and efficiently inspect rooflines, upper-level façades, and other hard-to-reach areas. These inspections allow us to gather critical visual evidence without the need for scaffolding or risky ladder work, reducing both time and cost for our clients. Drone images reveal issues such as cracked tiles, poor flashing, drainage problems, and more all documented in high-resolution format.

Each inspection is carried out by Matthew McDonald, who is not only CASA-compliant in drone use but also trained to interpret what these images mean from a building compliance standpoint. The images are then integrated into your report, with annotations and commentary explaining their relevance. Whether for insurance purposes, routine maintenance, or dispute resolution, our drone inspections provide an efficient and effective way to understand the condition of otherwise unreachable parts of your building.

Technology That Adds Real Value

Drone building inspections at Hit The Mark aren’t just about taking photos they’re about providing insight. Matthew combines drone technology with his construction expertise to deliver reports that are informative, accurate and practical. Every image is reviewed in detail and matched with commentary that explains the issue, its potential impact, and any recommended next steps.

These services are especially valuable for older buildings, multi-storey structures, or situations where safety or access is a concern. We also include drone assessments as part of our wider expert witness and defect audit services at no additional cost. All drone data is stored securely and integrated into a clear, easy-to-understand report. It’s this combination of modern tools and traditional expertise that sets Hit The Mark apart. With us, you don’t just get footage you get answers, professionally presented and ready for action.

Matthew McDonald is not only a licensed building consultant he’s also trained in the safe and legal use of drones for professional inspection purposes. This dual capability means every drone flight at Hit The Mark is conducted with full compliance and technical understanding. You’re not relying on a third-party pilot with no building background, you’re working with someone who understands both what he’s looking at and why it matters.

Matthew personally performs the aerial survey, analyses the footage, and integrates it into a formal report that’s structured and actionable. His hands-on knowledge of construction issues ensures nothing important is missed, and everything is explained with context.
